Capcom Arcade Stadium Review - Celebrate Classics

There are many retro compilations currently available on the Nintendo Switch and for this reason, the players may have closed the eyes on the Capcom Arcade stadium recently published, however, this celebration of the classics of yesteryear is the definitive Capcom collection and a must for any retro lover.

Packaged row with content, Capcom Arcade Stadium includes 32 games that can be purchased in three different packs. Each pack celebrates the arcade revolution with ten final games of a specified period. Although I'm not a fan of this model, some people may want to leave some packs because of the possession of several titles in other collections. The range of games defining the genre included in this set is different from the competition, which, in my opinion, is enough to attract most players.

Renowned for fighters, Capcom has included many of their best examples in this compilation, however, those of you who have already bought the Capcom Beat 'Em up pack can be a little disappointed because 5 of the 7 games of this package are also presented in this collection. In addition to the classics such as Street Fighter II, Strider, Bionic Commando and Ghosts' N Goblin, you also get neglected jewels such as cyberbots: Full Metal Madness and Powered Gear. Representing their diversity, Capcom also included a multitude of shiny shooters in this collection. Carrier Air Wing, a fast-paced reaction hunter, is a climax of the whole, with Giga Wing, a bale shooter of hell. The inclusion of these vintage unknown securities solidifies this set as a version par excellence of one of the masters of the arcades era.

Retro games are difficult. We know, just like Capcom. Therefore, they included a multitude of options to help you through your trip through the 80s and 90s. Included is the practical rewind function, backup states and difficulty options Which includes changing the speed of the game. Although these do not like unconditional fans, they constitute an excellent addition and help make the titles more accessible.

Each title comes with Japanese and English rom, although it may seem small, some games have actually small differences in gameplay or design, so it's worth exploring the different versions of your favorites. On top of that, every arcade cabinet is filled with many extras giving you more reasons to replay the games you like. Each week is scheduled to present a single special challenge that is essentially the timed challenge or score with twist. One week, you may need to define the highest score with a single life and other weeks, you may need to see how far you can go with the screen upside down! With timed challenges, score challenges, achievements and rankings, Capcom Arcade Stadium has a ton of content to make it an essential purchase for retro game fans.

In recent years, more and more collections have been published and for this reason, fans expect more than just a lot of titles pushed into a menu. We are waiting for an elegant and elegant interface that houses the classics we love. Fortunately, the presentation of Capcom Arcade Stadium is flawless. Designed as if you traveled arcade machines, each cabinet has its own game start screen. To this is added the volume of display features available. Whether you prefer to play with a visible cabinet, borders or full screen, all options are present with a multitude of filters to help you add authenticity to your time with Capcom Arcade Stadium. Unfortunately, the most appreciated museum mode that has been hailed in many other collections is absent. The fanatics will not be able to observe conceptual art or watch developer interviews, which is extremely disappointing. As the selection of games contains some of the best music at the time, I would have liked a music player functionality containing the sound bands presented, but unfortunately, it has not been included either. Finally, some archetypal Capcom games such as Saturday Night Slam Masters have not been selected, but with all the excellent titles included, it is difficult to complain.

Capcom Arcade Stadium is an indispensable purchase for retro game fans. In charge of a ton of content, this game will entertain newcomers and the return players for hours. Although some titles and features are missing, this collection is always a fantastic addition to your Nintendo Switch library.
