For this we move into different extensive areas and explore the Pokémon living there. It is not enough to just catch them. To complete your Pokédex entry, we also have to study the Pokémon and, for example, to catch a particularly large copy, depending on the type, see certain attacks of the Pokémon, or feed them with berries.

As a result, the game does not come without Grand, because we have to meet the Pokémon several times or spend a lot of time with you to complete your entry. And that is not an optional activity. In order to enter new areas at all, a certain researcher is assumed that we rely on by completing the Pokédex. At least for us, that was not a problem while playing, as we only liked to roam the areas for new Pokémon and our rank was so always high enough.

Explore is worthwhile in legends: Areas

Most of the time we explore the pretty large areas of the game world as well as free movable camera. So much was predominantly, the world is definitely not: there is a lack of greening and textures, such as the grass on the ground, are muddy.

In the different areas, the exploration is worthwhile. The control is more complex than from predecessors, as we have to change at the push of a button between an empty and an inhabited football before we throw it. But the operation is learned quickly.

Depending on the mind of the Pokémon we have to proceed while catching. Some of them are shy, so we can strike in the high grass or distract them with berries, others are aggressive and attack us as soon as they see us. In the worst case, that can even be called that we have attracted the attention of multiple attack Pokémon and have to compete against everyone.

We can even get in danger. Namely, we have not sent any of our Pokémon in the fight, we can violate Wild Pokémon or to be occupied with status effects such as poison or sleep. Let's take too much damage, we become fainted, wake up in the camp and lose some of our items.

Although we play solo, there is a system with which other players can find our lost items and send us automatically. Who is helpful, gets special thanks, with whom we can buy, for example, developing stones that are otherwise very rare.

A surprisingly demanding combat system

In addition to the normal catching of Pokémon, some challenges await us. So-called room-time distortions, for example, can emerge anywhere in the wilderness and fill a small area temporarily with strong but also rare Pokémon. So it can be worthwhile to go in.

But even in the course of the story we get it in boss fighting with kings and queens called Pokémon. This particularly strong Pokémon are expired by an unknown event in rage, and now it is to us to appease them. We can not hide behind our Pokémon as usual, but have to avoid ran and their attacks while we throw their favorite food for soothing bags of their favorite food.
